Public universities waste of time – Students lament as ASUU begins strike

Nigerian students have expressed frustration as the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, declared a nationwide strike on Monday.

The strike was declared during a press conference addressed by the President of ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, following the Federal Government’s inability to implement previous agreements.

According to ASUU National President, the strike will be “comprehensive and total”

Students have taken to social media lamenting the pains of attending public universities in Nigeria.

Some lamented about rent while others called out the present government for failure to meet demands.
